Engaging Art Lessons for Young Artists
In this exciting age of discovery—when every idea or creation is a moment worth celebrating—learning drawing and painting techniques becomes yet another joyful milestone. Children in this stage absorb information rapidly, much like sponges, making it the perfect time to introduce fundamental art concepts.
To guide their artistic growth, we begin by deconstructing familiar subjects into geometric shapes that help children learn how to “see” like artists. Through this process, students begin to understand the building blocks of drawing, gradually enriching their artwork with more detail and confidence. (See before/after progress gallery.)
Alongside drawing, your child will also explore painting by learning proper brush handling and color mixing, using materials such as watercolor and tempera. Additionally, students are encouraged to experiment with other engaging mediums, including collage and oil pastels, further expanding their creative expression. (See what else can be learned.)
