Jennie T. Gray – B.F.A. in Studio Art

Graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with an All-Level Art Teaching Certification, magna cum laude, from Texas State University-San Marcos.

I am a professional artist and art educator and I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art with an All Level Art Teaching Certification, magna cum laude, from Texas State University-San Marcos. I received extensive training in all art and design media during my BFA in Studio Art and Art Education program, with a minor in Honors focusing on Art History. I am a Highly Qualified Teacher in the State of Texas and I have been teaching art for over 14 years to all ages. My professional artist career spans two decades and I have shown my work, and that of my students, in various galleries, cultural centers, and museums across Texas.

I make and teach a wide variety of both two dimensional and three dimensional art including drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture.  I love teaching art and providing an opportunity to be an “art coach” where I am able to nurture and encourage students to express themselves visually. It is a joy to watch students gain confidence by developing their skills and to witness their creative and personal growth through art.
