Make-up Class
STEP 1
Report the absence
You can enter your absence through the Student’s Portal or our ART+ Academy App. Your teacher may also enter it for you. Once your absence is in the system, you’ll be able to see make-up options.
STEP 2
Use the Student’s Portal or the App to view available make-up classes within the next 15 days. If nothing works for you yet, check again the following week to see more upcoming options.
STEP 3
Once scheduled, just show up to the class you selected.
Please note: teachers can only accept make-up students if the class is scheduled in the system.
MISSED/MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY
Weekly Classes – mid-August to June
You can schedule a make-up class through the Student’s Portal. A student can attend a make-up class provided there is room available. However, there is ABSOLUTELY NO PRORATING NOR REFUND for missed classes.
Missed classes cannot be used as a class credit for the next session or tuition of the following month.
If you are absent for your make-up class, you are ineligible to reschedule this class. You can reschedule a make-up class up to 24hrs before the class starts.
You can make-up a class in the Fall. Re-enrollment in the Fall session is required.
There are no make-up classes or refunds if campers miss a single day or multiple days of their camp.
Consider this:
- You must be currently enrolled and tuition must be paid to use make-ups.
- Make-up classes expire at the end of the school year—we recommend using them as soon as possible.
- You can always check your absences and scheduled make-ups through the Student’s Portal.

I cannot say enough about Art + Academy and all the teachers! My 7 year old daughter started a year ago and she LOVES going each week. She is super active and loves sports, so this class allows her to explore her contemplative, quiet side. Her work amazes me….so much so that I, as an adult who has never taken an art class, enrolled in one. I think it is the greatest thing I have decided to do for myself! I love exploring this part of me I wasn’t aware of for so many years. I will definitely put my son in a class as soon as he is old enough. Don’t think twice about it. Enroll you or your kiddo. Well worth it!
This place takes their job seriously and really does a great job teaching and immersing kids into their art. Great and fast communication when there is any sort of issue. They really try and accommodate any personal requests to make things work for the student and get them involved. I do find their rates slightly expensive, BUT they really deliver on the quality of their studio and lessons and we’ve really loved it!
My kids have been taking art lessons at this studio for five years. They practice their drawing skills while having fun playing with different art materials. The teachers are professional and passionate about teaching. My kids love their art teachers. The studio provides many time slots for each age group and a flexible make-up option so that the art lessons can easily fit into our schedule. The gallery day in the studio was one of the most exciting days for our family when we cheered for our kids’ progress in the past year. The studio also provided art lessons for adults. I took one year of art lessons at Art Plus Academy. They were very relaxing and satisfying.
I LOVE Art + Academy. Both of my children have been coming here for lessons for the duration of the school year, and we have always gotten exceptional, kind instruction from the amazing teachers. My kids look forward to their lessons, and I have noticed lots of improvement in their art. I highly recommend!

My 8 year old expressed interest in art classes so I started doing some research and stumbled across Art+ Academy. I’m so grateful we landed here, my daughter’s teacher, Ms Erin, is not only talented, but is brilliant with kids. She is so skilled at setting expectations with the class, communicates with kids like adults, and it truly cultivates a relationship of mutual respect. The fact that supplies are included makes it very approachable for my daughter to try lots of methods and materials. It’s clear that they put a lot of effort into hiring true art professionals.
We have had such a lovely experience here. Our daughter has jumped leaps and bounds with the amazing instruction she is getting!
Ms. Erin at Art + Academy and the owner Monica are wonderful! Erin has the knack to keep kids focused on the artwork while listening to and embedding their view points into the process. In her own way, she challenges each individual child to bring out their thoughts on paper while keeping the main idea/goal intact. During these challenging times, when kids and adults are trapped in their homes, Monica realized the need more so than ever to keep the routine and what more positive than art? Thanks to Monica and her staff for their quick thinking and implementation of online classes. The first online session with the same instructor went smoothly and I am very satisfied to see the same high quality of instruction online as it was in person.
